ENERWA participated in the 17th Annual Cecil County Wade-In held at the North East Beach area of Elk Neck State Park. The event brought together families, environmental organizations, and community members for a day focused on clean water, environmental awareness, and stewardship of the Chesapeake Bay.
Visitors to the event enjoyed a wide variety of activities, exhibits, and demonstrations throughout the day. Guests had the opportunity to meet the Maryland Natural Resources Police helicopter crew, explore the Phillips Wharf Fishmobile, and learn from numerous organizations dedicated to protecting our local waterways and natural resources. Many attendees stopped by the ENERWA exhibit to learn more about our water quality monitoring programs, watershed restoration efforts, and volunteer opportunities.
The Wade-In continues to be an important event for raising awareness about the health of our rivers, streams, and the Chesapeake Bay. It also provides a great opportunity for organizations and residents to connect and share ways we can all help protect the waterways that make Cecil County such a special place to live, work, and play.
Congratulations to the Cecil County Stormwater Management Division and all of the event partners for hosting another successful Wade-In. We appreciate everyone who attended and helped celebrate the importance of clean water in our community.
